Within this brief we were challenged to create a simple idea for a poster format that promoted the fact (according to the WHO) that 1 in 3 Australians aged 30-60 don't get the minimum 30 mins of physical exercise recommended to maximise positive outcomes in a plethora of categories from mental to heart health. In response I decided to depict the simple visual idea of a person in a recliner out in the world, being passed by it as others get their required exerciser, whilst recliner man is off in a visually less desirable world, left out and obviously tired of where they are at in a literal and metaphorical sense. The ambition of this is too try and create a feeling that by exercising for 30 minutes minimum a day, people join a community of exercisers and free themselves from the solitude of being sedentary.
