Agency experienced and self motivated Copywriter/Art Director born and raised in Melbourne currently studying my final semester of Advertising at RMIT.
Like many others my first thoughts about advertising as a career began when I watched Gruen, but my interest in a variety of art forms and adverts began earlier than that. For me long drives and ad breaks were a fun experience with new ads coming back constantly, even as a kid I would always try to "solve" the add by working out what they're to sell me, why they chose to sell an idea this way and of course, if it worked.
In 2022 I reached out to a Melbourne based strategic communications firm and began an internship for 6 weeks, working across government, not for profit, consumer facing brands, construction, heavy equipment and superannuation industries mainly.
After the conclusion of this internship I was offered a part time role alongside my studies which I held for over a year. Alongside this job and my studies I have been heavily involved in a variety of roles at my Surf Life saving club in a volunteer capacity across administration, training and operations. I first became a patrol captain at the age of 17 and held that role until I was 22, when I became a patrol mentor, to better help other young captains to grow in the role with clear support systems in place around them.
This taught me crucial skills in managing high stress and time sensitive situations, manage conflicting personalities and creating a unified and inclusive environment on the beach. My patrol won patrol of the year twice while I was in charge and still holds a strong reputation today.
In my personal pursuits I have been drawing and painting most of my life and learnt screen printing and 3D rendering in my own time. I use my screen printing to create custom clothing for friends and family.
